Every big idea starts with a problem.

Mine was simple: I needed cold therapy for my recovery, but what existed out there was either too expensive or too inconvenient.

After a devastating boxing injury left me with half a kneecap and months of rehab, I relied on ice baths daily. The process was exhausting. I drove to the gas station, hauled heavy bags of ice, and dumped them into a tiny bathtub that barely fit me. It simply was not working.

I asked myself a simple question: “How can I make this better? How can I make it affordable?”

That is when I discovered freezer conversions. I learned how to safely transform chest freezers into reliable cold plunges, creating a solution that was large enough, efficient enough, and budget-friendly.

It worked. My recovery improved. Before long, friends started asking me to build one for them. Then their friends asked. One build turned into many, and CryoConverted was born.

Now, I have partnered with my longtime friend Beck Ostlund, a disciplined business major who shares my vision for expanding access to cold therapy. Together, we are building high-quality, budget-friendly plunges that make recovery possible for everyone.
